Session information

I shoot primarily two types of sessions for clients, high school seniors and family documentary sessions. I have learned to shoot what I love and these two sessions are top on my list. All sessions are shot on film which means you should contact me early for a session date because I send all my sessions out to a professional laboratory for development. A session fee of $300 (slightly more for half and full day family sessions) is needed to hold and secure your session date.  This fee includes my time and talent to shoot as well as pre-session planning. The session fee does not include the cost of digital files. Prints and digital images are not included and priced separately.

I know you may want them... those images with everyone in your tribe spit shined, smiling and looking into the camera. I understand because there was a time when I wanted them also. But then, my son became ill. And we were in the valley of cancer. And he was healed in Heaven. And all I wanted to remember was the way his head fell back when he laughed, the extraordinary ordinariness of our family as eight rather than seven, and how very special and fleeting each season is that we travel now. 

If you are looking for those perfect images for the Christmas card, I applaud you. Have them taken, print them out and show them off. But if you are looking for someone to capture you and those who have your heart in all of your glorious mess and details only known to you, let's talk. I will document your family the same way I document mine. I promise to show how very beautiful the mundane can be... I also promise, you will get a Christmas card worthy image out of it. 

"This is us" family sessions

Me. You. Your tribe. No pressure. Hanging out with a purpose... just to show you. Messy hair. Snuggles. Maybe even some temper tantrums and tears. Grumpiness is allowed, but so are hugs and laughter. Pick an activity and we will do it together. 

Whole day, half day and two hour sessions are options. "This is Us" is also great for newborn or maternity sessions. Let's make your ordinary look extraordinary. 

senior sessions

There is something special about high school seniors that I love capturing. Perhaps it is the hope for the future or just an opportunity to spend time talking conquering fears and pursuing dreams, but for whatever reason, seniors hold a soft spot in my heart. I work with senior clients to plan wardrobes and shooting locations. My approach is always to reflect the uniqueness of each senior client.
