Kristin Young embraces many roles as a theologian, teacher, writer and fine arts photographer. She feels a firm calling to encourage others to look for God’s hope and beauty while living in the shadow of heaven. Having a heart for biblical reconciliation and learning from the unique encounters with God of every ethnos, Kristin is passionate about helping Christians understand God and live well in gray spaces. She wholeheartedly believes in creating round theological tables and building diverse bookshelves with humility.

Kristin blends her love for biblical justice, writing and visual arts in her journalistic and documentary approach to photography. Fully embracing the motto “shoot what you love and do it often,” Kristin is a staunch advocate for personal projects as creative outlets.

Kristin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame, Masters in Social Welfare (Management and Planning) from the University of California, Berkeley and Masters in Divinity from Fuller Seminary. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, Young Life, and Pro Athlete Outreach.

She and her husband, Bryant, who played fourteen years with the San Francisco 49ers and is a Pro Football Hall of Famer, have six children. Their oldest son, Colby, is tucked away in Heaven after a two-year fight with brain cancer. Raised in Germany as a proud Army brat, Kristin currently resides in Northern California.
